Last Two Shows for a Month!

Hey y’all! We’re doing two more shows next week, and then no more for a month. Please PLEASE come check us out.

And then give me a job.

Scarce

I haven’t been feeling very well lately, but I’ve also been very busy. Last night we played at the Double-Wide with Sara Radle and The Tah-Dahs. It was fun as hell, duh. Those two bands have their shit together and put on a damn good show, and in Sara’s case, even while tolerating what had [...]

Life Goes On

Pre-interview tomorrow. Fingers crossed. I got a 3 out of 5 on the online Perl skills test, which is apparently pretty high up in percentile.
The band thing has become somewhat of a part-time job itself, but a very rewarding one. Please, if any of you out there have some time, come give us a try. [...]

It’s a long way to the top if you wanna Rock & Roll

Last night was my first gig with The Happy Bullets, and before the show we did a photo shoot downtown. The Photog was cool, but apparently she mainly does black & white. We were in such a colorful area, so I wish we had some full color photos. Maybe I can con my favorite reverend [...]

No jinxing me

I won’t say why, but the power outage we just sustained couldn’t have occurred during a worse 60-minute window.
Hopefully all will be rectified by tomorrow.

Back in town: PLEASE READ! IMPORTANT INFO BELOW

It has been a very eventful few days. I got to Mama’s house around 2am Tuesday, woke up, did some homework, got my car lubed and inspected, went to lunch, and then trekked on down to the beach with Kenneth. Hung out with dad, had some burgers, and then came back. I woke up this [...]

Incommunicado

Well, I just paid 40 bucks to fail an emissions test. So, I’m finishing up some homework and heading to Beaumont to get the poor Mrs. inspected, see family for a short while, and obtain special emergency funds from a good friend of mine (Dad). I’ll probably be back Wednesday.

New Band

It looks like I’ll be playing gutar, squeezebox and whatever else these guys tell me to play for a while. I sat in at their rehearsal tonight, and it was a fucking blast. I’m going to run Mexican Blue Angels by them, because I think they’d dig it.

More Johnny Cash

I was listening to “Folsom Prison Blues” today and I giggled because I couldn’t help but think of Krusty the Clown:
Live! From Springfield Penitentiary’s fabulous Big Open Area in Cell Block D… It’s the Krusty the Clown Prison Special!
“I slugged some jerk in Tahoe
They gave me one to three
My high-priced lawyer sprung me
On a technicality
I’m [...]

Officially Unemployed

My first act in this new position shall be…
…to take a nap.
