Gotta get back in the swing

I’ve been quite lax in updating this thing lately. Some tend to take this as a sign that I’ve been lazy. Well, I have been lazy with respect to journaling, but also very busy elsewhere. The job, whether I’m productive or not on any given day, consumes about 11 hours (includign commute) of my time each weekday.

I’m not catching up on finances as quickly as I would like, but I am no longer broke. It’s been very nice to sit back and watch car money slowly pile up, and I’ve been very good about not buying shit I don’t need. However, plans to sell all my extraneous crap around the house are way behind.

Yesterday after work, I zoomed by the house, ate some ramen, threw on some shorts and drove to D & J’s to swim. We played 2 on 1 volleyball, but the water was so nut-constrictively freezing that I could barely move. It was a lot of fun, though. Jess was freaking out over some dirt/leaves/rocks she thought was a dead mouse. And the neighbors’ BBQ smelled awesome.

After that we went to Bennigan’s for some last minute junk food before Jess goes under the knife. Speaking of that, she’s probably unconcious at this very moment with some guy’s fists down her throat.

Friday morning, B and I are trekking down to Beaumont to watch my brother grizzaduate hizzighschool. We might go to the beach. Whether we do or not, we need to make sleeping arrangements because there is no longer a bed in my old room at Mom’s. We’re surveying our options. I really don’t like sleeping on air mattresses, but we’ll do what we have to.
