-I seriously believe, without exaggeration, that Rachel has been out of the -office more days than she’s been in since I started working with her.

-This is a really weird episode of MacGyver. Not only are Dick Butkus, Henry Gibson, Marion Ross, Sandra Gould, Abe Vigoda, Rich Little and the Fonz (who’s also the Executive Producer) guest starring, but so is Jimmy Doohan, along with a blue car that looks (to my recollection) exactly like the car they stuffed KITT into in that Knight Rider 2000 TV movie (also guest starring Jimmy “Scotty” Doohan.

-Leaving a 10-hour work day to cook dinner for your redhead hottie chickfriend luh-vah, doze off watching her get excited about her newly-upgraded and redesigned weblog, and then wake up to fool around with her before bedtime is just about the best way to end a workday I could currently imagine.

-We need to cut the damn foliage along the driveway in front of our garage. It has to be pissing John off, as it’s all over his car when he parks.

-Real Chicken Tikka Masala, made at a real Indian Restaurant owned by real Indian people, and cooked by real, live Mexican immigrants? Excellent. Frozen Chicken Tikka Masala from the freezer section of Central Market, supposedly manufactured by a real, live Indian person? TERRIBLE. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Those pot stickers and egg-rolls better make up for them.

-In case the content of this entry didn’t betray it already, I have embarked upon a mission to find the tastiest and most affordable Riesling, as it seems to be the only wine I find appealing. Sunday night, Johann and I shared a $9.00 bottle of 2000 Schmitt Soehne Spaetlese which was truly exciting. Smoother than straight grape juice, I shit you not. Tonight, I took a gamble on a $6.00 bottle of 2002 Bergmann Spaetlese. John had one glass and I had the rest. Not bad, but definitely sold before its time.

I think the next bottle I try will be the 2001 Auslese I saw at Albertson’s.
