All I Want For Christmas, belated

If, like mine, your old PCs,
And peripherals as well,
Remain in piles, long worse for wear,
When they should be sent to Hell,

And if, by chance, one of those piles
Contains an old ScanJet,
Then please, I beg, give it to me.
This act I would never forget.

In the past, I employed many ScanJet 4s,
And, once, a ScanJet 3.
Alas, at present I have none,
They’ve all evaded me.

To play a tune with such a device
Would be, of course, quite nerdy.
But just imagine the harmonies
If I could find, say, thirty?
